The 12 Eureka Moments Every Couple Needs for a Lasting Connection

I've been married to my husband for twenty years now. We hit our big anniversary this past November. Even after two decades together, I can tell you that marriage isn't always easy. We've got five pets and five outdoor cats who visit almost every day, so our house is full, but sometimes our communication feels like it's hit a wall. I'm sure you know the feeling where you just keep having the same old argument over and over. It's like being stuck in a loop, and you can't find the exit. Note: This is an original image; AI was only used to "clean" up a small part of the image. I recently got my hands on a copy of Dr. Emerson Eggerichs' new book, Lightbulb Moments in Marriage . You might know him from his famous book Love and Respect. I was really excited to check this one out because I love a good book that's pretty to look at. This one has a clean, white cover with bright yellow highlights that really pop. It's not just a nice-looking b...

Picking up the Pieces: Recovering from a Terminated Tumblr Account

Starting Over and Rebuilding Your Tumblr Empire

You know that feeling when you've put in countless hours and invested so much of yourself into something, then — poof — it's gone? That's what happened to me yesterday: my beloved Tumblr account was terminated, without reason, I might add!

This is where I was previously hosting this blog. Gone were the almost 1500 posts and memories I'd accumulated over the years (since 2008). To add insult to injury, all my social media posts now feature broken links. Yes, it was indeed a horrible evening.

However, as a true warrior, I'm determined to rise from the ashes and rebuild A Little Bit Of Me by any means necessary. But how you ask Well, I'm about to take you on the journey of making your own terminated blog comeback.

Note: If your Tumblr account has been terminated and you're seeking clarification, you should reach out to Tumblr Support directly for assistance.

Damage Control

Fix Those Broken Links

It's time to clean up the mess that Tumblr left behind. It's going to take a lot of time and effort but you have to replace the broken links across your social media platforms and inform your followers about your unfortunate fate.

  • Notify your Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook followers about your terminated account
  • Edit any Tumblr links on your website and anywhere else you can (hello, edit button!)
  • Respond to comments or messages left by concerned followers

Rise from the Ashes

Creating a Brand-New Tumblr (or Other Platform) Account

Your social media presence shouldn't suffer just because of someone else's decision! Create a fresh and fabulous new account where you can begin rebuilding your lost work.

Personally, I want nothing else to do with Tumblr, which is why I've come over to Blogger; it's much easier to integrate with Google's products anyway, like Adsense, Analytics, and Search Console, which is exactly what I need!

Whichever route you decide to go:

  • Choose a unique and catchy username
  • Find or design an attractive and memorable theme
  • Fill out your profile with updated information about yourself and your interests

Rebuild and Conquer

Restoring Your Best Content

While you can't recreate every single one of those 1500 (or however many) lost posts, you certainly can bring back some of your greatest hits to kickstart your new blog's experience (hello, Google cache!).

  • Post a mix of old favorites and fresh, new content
  • Reach out to friends and ask for their help in reposting previous collaborations, reblogging posts, or participating in challenges together
  • Explore new niches and ideas, and take this as an opportunity to grow your brand

More Visibility, More Power

Spread the Word About Your Comeback

No one should get away with terminating your account unceremoniously! Use your newfound momentum to gain more followers and visibility than ever before. Use the termination as a learning experience and motivation to grow twice as much in the next 6-12 months.

  • Inform your followers across all social media platforms about your new account
  • Engage in the Tumblr community by following, engaging, and interacting with other content creators
  • Utilize SEO tactics and long-tail keywords in your posts

It's Never Too Late To Start Over

Alright Tumblr warriors, it's time to wipe those tears and take back what's rightfully yours! Now that I’ve imparted some blog-rebuilding wisdom (which I'll also be using myself), I’m curious: how would you handle a terminated account? Share your thoughts, revenge plots, or phoenix-from-the-ash strategies in the comments below!
