My Cat Had Gastrointestinal Lymphoma: Saying Goodbye to Adah

On June 6, 2026, I lost my cat Adah. I'm still in shock, still crying on and off, and honestly still reaching for her out of habit. She was 8 years old and had been by my side for 7 of them. Writing this is hard, but I know it's something I need to do, because if you're searching for information about feline gastrointestinal lymphoma or trying to figure out what comes next after losing your cat, I want you to know you're not alone. I've been right where you are. Adah wasn't just a cat to me; she was like a daughter. She was the one who helped me survive losing my Maltese dog back in February 2019. I got her at the end of March that same year. She was actually my first cat ever. And somehow, without me even realizing it, she became the center of my world. I had no idea that choosing her would be one of the best decisions of my life or that letting her go would be one of the hardest. ⚡ Key Takeaways 🐱 Feline GI lymphoma is the most common c...

Inspire Bible for Kids: A Creative Way to Learn Scripture

Image
Getting kids to sit down and read the Bible can sometimes feel like a chore, but it doesn't have to be that way. The Inspire Bible for Kids is a total breath of fresh air because it turns reading into an active, creative adventure. It’s packed with over 400 beautiful line-art illustrations that kids can color while they engage with the text. This isn't just a book they’ll flip through; it’s a tool that lets them put their own personal touch on every page while they learn about God's love. What makes this Bible stand out is how it meets kids right where they are. Using the New Living Translation (just like the Go Bible for Kids ), the language is simple and clear, so they won't get hung up on words they don't understand. Between the fun trivia, the heart-felt devotions, and the plenty of space for journaling, it keeps their attention way longer than a standard Bible would. It’s the perfect way to help them build a habit of spending time in the Word while having a b...

Gold Edges and Global Voices: Why I Love the NLT Every Woman's Bible

Image
I’ve spent a lot of time looking for a Bible that actually fits my life as a woman. It isn't always easy to find one that feels both deep and easy to use. I recently got the NLT Every Woman’s Bible in a beautiful sky blue color for free so I could check it out and tell you all what I think. My quiet time is very important to me. Between taking care of my five pets and dealing with health stuff like PCOS and GAD, I need my study time to be peaceful and helpful. When the package arrived, I was really happy with how it was packed. It comes in a very protective and sturdy box. This is great because I like to keep my Bibles for a long time. The box keeps it safe from dust or getting bent on the shelf. The first thing I noticed when I took it out was the color. It's a lovely shade of blue that feels very calming. It's made of a LeatherLike material that feels soft in your hands but seems like it'll hold up well over the years. I can tell it’s built to last through many morn...

Why You'll Love The Weight of Mercy Heroic Fantasy Book

Image
I've been staying inside quite a bit lately because it's been so cool and rainy here in southeast Alabama for the past few days. I just turned forty five on Feb 23rd, and I'm still busy working with my doctor on my PCOS and prediabetes goals. When the weather is gray and my anxiety makes me feel a bit on edge, I always feel better when I read a good book. I received a free copy of The Weight of Mercy to share and it's been a nice way to spend my time while the rain falls. This book's the first part of a series called The Chasm Cycle and it's been a great find for me. It's got plenty of new ideas even though it feels very classic. I've spent my time reading it while Micah the kitten's been chasing his toys and my rabbits've been staying cozy in their corners. It's a heroic fantasy book that isn't just about being dark or mean to the characters. It's actually about people who are trying to do the right thing even when it's scary...

Bible Adventures: Why Your Kids'll Love These Time-Travel Tales

Image
I've recently had the chance to look over two new books for kids that I think you're going to find very interesting. These books are part of a series called The Mystery of the Ancient Map. They were sent to me for free so I could check them out and share what I think about them. Even though I don't have kids of my own, I'm always looking for good gifts. I've decided I'll be giving these to a coworker of my husband. She has a granddaughter who's just starting to read on her own, and these seem like a great fit for her. When I first held these books, I noticed how light they feel. They're small and easy to carry, which is perfect for little hands. The covers are very colorful and they really catch your eye right away. I'm forty five years old, and even I thought the art on the front was fun to look at. Inside the books, the pictures are in black and white. They aren't as bright as the covers, but they still have plenty of detail.  I think kids wh...
