If you're anything like me, you might have a few Bibles sitting around your house. Maybe one you got as a kid, one you use for church, and perhaps one you intended to use for deeper study but haven't quite gotten around to. I get it. Life is busy, and sometimes picking up the Bible feels a bit overwhelming. Where do you even start? How do you figure out what it all means? That's where a really good study Bible comes in handy, and I recently spent some time with The Open Bible, New King James Version, from Thomas Nelson. And let me tell you, it's got some cool stuff going on. When I first got my hands on this Bible, the first thing I noticed was just how nice it feels. You can really see the quality. It's sturdy, well-made, and just feels good to hold. You know how some books just feel cheap? This isn't one of them. It feels like something you'll have for a long, long time. The cover material, the way the pages are bound — it all speaks to a level of craftsm...

Growing up in Connecticut, I remember Bibles being these heavy, intimidating black books with thin, crinkly paper that felt like it might disintegrate if I breathed on it too hard. They weren't exactly "fun." Fast forward to now, and things have changed. A lot. I recently got my hands on the NIV Adventure Bible and the brand-new Adventure Bible Daily Devotional for Kids from Zondervan. Honestly? I'm a bit jealous I didn't have these when I was seven. I received these copies for free to check them out and share my thoughts. Let me tell you, the "adventure" theme isn't just a marketing gimmick. It’s a full-on experience. I’ve seen a lot of "kid-friendly" stuff come and go, but there's a reason this brand has reached over 10 million people. It actually treats the Bible like the exciting, wild narrative it is rather than a dusty history textbook. It's a fantastic gift idea for Easter if you're looking for something that lasts way...

I like a Bible I can pick up without thinking about it. That means readable text, a size that fits in a bag, and a cover that makes me want to leave it on the table instead of tucking it away on a shelf. When I was graciously offered a free NLT Bible for the New Living Translation's 30th anniversary, I picked the NLT Large Print Premium Value Thinline Bible, Filament Enabled, in LeatherLike Garden Pink. It's a beautiful cover. So here's how it looks on paper. I'll cover what the Bible includes, who it fits, the questions people ask before they buy, and how I'd use it. If you're deciding between a few editions, I hope this saves you some scrolling. Disclosure: I received this Bible free in exchange for a review. The opinions here are my own. ⚡ Key Takeaways 📖 This edition uses the New Living Translation, made by a team of more than 100 biblical scholars. 🔍 The text is printed in an easy-to-read 10.25-point font, in a slim, port...

I’ve spent a lot of time looking for a Bible that actually fits my life as a woman. It isn't always easy to find one that feels both deep and easy to use. I recently got the NLT Every Woman’s Bible in a beautiful sky blue color for free so I could check it out and tell you all what I think. My quiet time is very important to me. Between taking care of my five pets and dealing with health stuff like PCOS and GAD, I need my study time to be peaceful and helpful. When the package arrived, I was really happy with how it was packed. It comes in a very protective and sturdy box. This is great because I like to keep my Bibles for a long time. The box keeps it safe from dust or getting bent on the shelf. The first thing I noticed when I took it out was the color. It's a lovely shade of blue that feels very calming. It's made of a LeatherLike material that feels soft in your hands but seems like it'll hold up well over the years. I can tell it’s built to last through many morn...
